Photo of the Month

Rehab efforts have been shifted to the Osceola tunnel. The muddy flood waters from this years pond breach created havoc in the main Osceola tunnel. Muddy water entered an upper tunnel below the roadway, entering a raise that came up from the main tunnel which had been backfilled. The flow of muddy water loosened up some of the backfill and a lot of it moved down, into the main tunnel. Fortunately, none of the water coming out of the Osceola Mine made it to the creek. The water flows into a concrete pit and is filtered through the ground.
