This photo was taken May 21, 2005 by geologist Ray Wittkopp on one of his walks around Alleghany. The photo, taken next to the North Fork of Kanaka Creek, shows the amount of water that was flowing through the Osceola mill. Alleghany had received about 6 to 7 inches of rain over a 3 1/2 day period. Of course, more than water ended up in the mill. Clean up on aisle one, again!!!
