The previous photo of the month was a picture of my Allis Chalmers HD16 that was headed for The Osceola Mine in Alleghany (click here for pic). Since the blade is over 11 feet wide, it would have required the use of pilot cars to escort the truck hauling the HD16, so, to lower the transportation cost the blade was removed and loaded onto my gooseneck, tilt-deck, equipment trailer. Since there wasn't any equipment available to assist in loading the blade, I used six firewood rounds as rollers and hand winched it onto the trailer by myself.
