When I was preparing the Osceola water system for the year, a question popped into my head. "How many gallons of water does the holding tank hold?" The tank is a 12 foot by 4 foot cylinder laying on it's side with the overflow a quarter of the way form the top. This leaves a circular segment of the tank with no water. Figuring, that this was past my math skills, I presented the problem to "Alleghany's Math Genius (and Author)," Bud Buczkowske. The answer, shown above, is approximately 750 gallons.
