Photo of the Month

Smoke from the California wildfires did not help the mine rehab this year. The Celina Fire was only about five miles east of Alleghany. The smoke went underground and was a nuisance. Even though it was probably not harmful, it was safer not to be exposed to it. This is a photo of the smoke on one of the better days. If I were to show you one of the worst days, all you would see is a gray photo with some gray bushes. On a trip down to Marysville, the visibility in the valley was about one quarter mile and the temperature was 111 degrees.
